RACE DAY – 05 September 2010 @ Zwartkops Raceway

Every Year the Midrand Round Table hosts the Bed Race.
The purpose of the project is to get hospital beds into the institute for the needy.
Companies pay an entrance fee which entitles them to a hospital bed supplied by Round Table.
Each team needs to decorate the bed and then race in a team of 5 around Zwartkops Circuit.
The safety of all competitors will be looked after by the Kyalami Marshals.

This year, Women In Motorsport will be racing along with Kyalami Marshals.

A Ladies team of 5 will be very busy decorating their bed for the race day that will be taking place on 05 September 2010 at Zwartkops Circuit.

The Women in Motorsport Panel will be a hosting a full weekend of Women in Motorsport.

Events are as follows:

On 7 August at the Bridgestone Adrenalin Raceway in Vereeniging, there will be experts on hand to coach ladies from the age 8 and upwards to try out Supermoto. The day will start at 09h00 and will end approximately 13h00.

On 8th of August at the Dirt Bronco Raceway in Krugersdorp, ladies are welcome to try out Motocross, Quads and Enduro Bikes. Expert assistance will be available.

Free admission on both these days. Refreshments, goodie bags available and jumping castles to keep the small ones busy. Please contact Fiona Jones on 076 200 0512 for more information on these two days.

The leading event for WIM will be held at Zwartops Raceway on the 9th of August.
Here is an overview of what will be happening on the day.
• Hot laps with Instructors in Subaru, Renault, Lotus and other exciting cars
• Hot laps on Motorcycles with Instructors
• Open track sessions for ladies in their own cars of with their own bikes
• Lucky Draw for hot laps in Forza Ferrari 360 and Racing Porsche along with many exciting surprises
• Skidpan Session with Instructors and cars form Renault Centurion
• Karts, Supermoto Bikes and Scooters will be available on the kart circuit to try out
• Trial bikes available along with expert assistance
Brian Capper will grace us with his presence with a heart stopping trails demo and there will also be drifting displays.
Playstation Consoles, jumping castles and loads of entertainment will be available for the whole family.
Free admission and all activities are free for all ladies.
